Sustainable production and CSR

All our jewellery is handmade in our atelier in Copenhagen, designed and crafted by founder Pauline Michaud.

All jewellery is made from recycled precious metals with ethically sourced stones. If using diamonds, the diamonds are conflict free, traceable and certified.

Jewellery pieces are created in recycled sterling silver and gold plated with 24k. Our products are stamped with 925 (sterling silver) and LMC (L'atelier Michaud Copenhagen).

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is very important for A'telier Michaud. The brand only supports and works with a manufactures that takes excellent care of their employees, providing them health care insurance and a fair salary well above minimum.

Future production

To improve the technique and provide a wider range of products for our customers our brand decided to outsource the production to another country.

We did a wide research on factories which would fulfill our expectations on ethical production conditions and quality of the materials to not give up on any of our values. We decided to co-operate with two small workshops from Thailand- Atelier Quadrature and Pranda.

Thailand is known for high quality and precision when it comes to jewelry, and they specialize in fine jewelry and stone settings. Thai factories stand out from factories from other Asian countries with a high level of working conditions and level of craftmanship.
